The exile and the black widow

Spring of 1909. Kyiv investigator Platon Chechel exposes the brutal murderer of young girls - the daughter of a secret adviser from St. Petersburg. But the young lady dies under the same circumstances as her victims, so influential relatives accuse Chechel of slander. For society, Plato becomes an exile.

The only way out of hard labor is to save the life of millionaire von Schlesser, who is allegedly wanted by a young wife who has already gained the fame of a black widow. However, the baron dies, and this is just the beginning of a series of cold-blooded murders. All heirs are under suspicion - even Plato himself...

The exile is forced to unravel the tangle of deaths and find out who is to blame, not only to prevent new crimes, but also to save himself.
