The Last Ferry
The action of Waldemar Krzystek's film takes place in December 1981. On the board of a ferry heading from Świnoujście to Hamburg gather different people who want to leave the country for various reasons. During the cruise they find out about the implementation of martial law in Poland. The film is a psychological study of the passengers of the titular last ferry who are faced with a dramatic choice. Created in a world-shaking historical moment, the film still remains a valuable and realistic image of Poland in the early 1980s.
