Artem Chapai writes a wide variety of prose: from realistic to fantastic, from contemplative to adventure, from reports on the war to "Dad on paternity leave." He is the author of five books to date. "Adventure" is his first major work about a year and a half of "ragamuffin" journey, without which, perhaps, the writer Chapay would not exist. "Adventure" is a year and a half of real hitchhiking, without money, without a plan and sometimes without the necessary documents. After quitting his job and studying, the Ukrainian student travels by diesel to New York, and then, earning money on the road during the trip, travels to Mexico, Cuba, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua. He meets dozens of wonderful people, finds close friends, thanks to the road understands the world in a new way, and himself.
The Adventure features classic sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll, and is written in an experimental style, with a strong influence of the Internet and youth slang.
